Another Chiang Mai Sunset

Another Chiang Mai Sunset. Pretty much every single night the city looks like this. No clouds (except the normal haze in the air) and a perfect sunset.

This post is getting posted a bit later than normal. While I was very productive today working on a video I slacked off on getting a photo ready, so i’m throwing this one up quickly.

The image is HDR edited with Aurora HDR Pro. I probably went a bit too heavy on the saturation, but then I’m super exhausted and I don’t think i’m seeing colours correctly right now. The image was put into Photoshop to do some dodging and burning, then final tweaks in Lightroom.

With a view like this every day its a wonder than I have spent so many of my days working either in my room, or in a coffee shop. Hiding away from all the sights and things to do here in Chiang Mai. As my time to move on to Laos comes closer I feel I am already missing this place. While I do want to move on to see another country, I am also wishing I could stretch my time here at least one more month. It makes me think that I will be back here soon, within the next few months. Thailand is a great place to both relax as well as get a whole lot of work done. Maybe next time I will also spend a bit more time touristing while I am here.

Growing up one of my biggest dreams was to explore the world. Honestly I never thought this would become reality. But at the end of 2014 I quit my job as a project manager to do just that. I sold most everything I own, packed up the remaining boxes in storage, and set out to see the world. My goals while traveling are to meet people everywhere I go, work on becoming a better photographer, and attempt to stay where the weather is not freezing. Along the way I am posting photos at Pixelbip.com and writing about my experiences at EarthToKeir.com
