Beach Chairs

Beach Chairs

This are the beach chairs from the beach bar/shack I lived in when I stayed in Sihanoukville up until 3 nights ago. It’s called Sea Garden. It was an amazing place to stay, but with rainy season starting the last three days there were very wet. I would still go for a swim in the ocean everyday, but drying off was a little more difficult. I’m really looking forward to visiting again in the future. Maybe during a time when there is not so much rain, and definitely with someone else to share the experience with me. Having the constant sound of the waves on the beach definitely helps relax me, and also helps me sleep. I do miss staying there, but with my visa running out I had to move on. So now I am back in Chiang Mai.

This is a single long exposure shot and not an HDR. I used photoshop to pull out details in the shadows, but besides that there really has not been too much work done to the image. It was shot on my Sony at 16mm hence the distortion around the edges. I did use Noiseless to remove the noise as well.

Also, This image should have been posted yesterday but my internet, while fast enough, sometimes just disappears. No idea whats going on. Im still connected but no internet is working. I am now on my way to Maya Mall where there is supposed to be a shared workspace on the 4th floor where I can have guaranteed internet. Then again I could always go to a cafe and get internet for the price of a Latte… However the thought of being able to meet others who are working remotely is a big draw right now. I really am looking for people that I can network with and collaborate with as well.

And if anyone has even read this far please just send me a PM on FB saying so. I would really appreciate it.

Growing up one of my biggest dreams was to explore the world. Honestly I never thought this would become reality. But at the end of 2014 I quit my job as a project manager to do just that. I sold most everything I own, packed up the remaining boxes in storage, and set out to see the world. My goals while traveling are to meet people everywhere I go, work on becoming a better photographer, and attempt to stay where the weather is not freezing. Along the way I am posting photos at and writing about my experiences at
