Bellagio Glass Flowers

This image was taken in Las Vegas. I guess not everything that happens there stays there. Anyway. I lay the camera down on a table as the light was so low that it made hand holding impossible. After doing the HDR conversion in Photomatix Pro I lightened the images up considerably in Lightroom. No additional saturation was required.

So I am trying a few new formatting changes here on Pixelbip. Actually there are going to be a few more changes in general. Of the major changes you can see there is now a sidebar to the right. And yes I will be putting advertisements in the sidebar. However I will be limiting the adverts to products I use and like. So if you see something posted there you will know I recommend it. Also if you use those links to purchase anything please know that I will get a few pennies from the transaction. I got to pay the rent somehow.

For instance I now have an add for Agoda. Agoda is a search and booking system that you can use to find great places to stay around the world. I plan on using this service heavily when I am on my travels.

Another small item is that I am going to try and get rid of having the image display on the individual posts as a Featured Image. As such you won’t notice a difference in how the image displays. However it will allow me to add a lightbox feature so that you will be able to click an image and have it display in a fancy way.

The last change I have done is to add the LiveFyre commenting to each blog post. I’m not yet sure I will stay with this commenting system, but I am going to try it for now. Please don’t feel obligated to sign up for the service. You can comment as a guest or use FB, or most any other popular social network to log in. So please leave comments. In fact if you have read this far please leave a comment. At this point I feel like I am just writing to myself as no one has commented on any of the images. Just a heads up would be awesome!

Growing up one of my biggest dreams was to explore the world. Honestly I never thought this would become reality. But at the end of 2014 I quit my job as a project manager to do just that. I sold most everything I own, packed up the remaining boxes in storage, and set out to see the world. My goals while traveling are to meet people everywhere I go, work on becoming a better photographer, and attempt to stay where the weather is not freezing. Along the way I am posting photos at and writing about my experiences at
