Bridge over Ganga

Taken last night which was the first day of Holi. Just out of sight to the right is a huge bon fire. The Bridge over Ganga is a walking bridge and really only wide enough for about three people, and it is a walking bridge. Still anytime you walk over the bridge you need to avoid motorcycles, cows, and monkeys.

The last two days of Holi have been super fun. I spent today having paint powder and liquid being thrown at me. Everyone in the streets dancing, yelling, and throwing paint and water.

At this point I still have a bed for tonight, but tomorrow is still questionable. I want to spend at least one more night here so that I can get some shopping done. So far Rishikesh seems to be one of the cheapest places I have been, even though it is a huge tourist attraction.

Growing up one of my biggest dreams was to explore the world. Honestly I never thought this would become reality. But at the end of 2014 I quit my job as a project manager to do just that. I sold most everything I own, packed up the remaining boxes in storage, and set out to see the world. My goals while traveling are to meet people everywhere I go, work on becoming a better photographer, and attempt to stay where the weather is not freezing.
