Bučan Bučan at the Lucky Bar in Victoria

Last Tuesday night I went to Lucky Bar with some friends to see Bučan Bučan, and the Red Elvises. I have to say I had more fun at this show than I have had in recent memory.

The image was cleaned up in Lightroom and slightly cropped and leveled out. Colors were enhanced, and blacks were made black. I have not shot musicians in a club for many years and it was great to get out again and do this.

Another highlight of the evening was being able to hang out with, and chat with the musicians and the booking agent for the bands. I always like meeting new people, especially ones that are out taking active participation in their lives.

The night ended with me walking home walking home instead of taking a cab. I figured four miles in dress shoes would be fine. Apparently my feet disagreed with me as they got blisters and then the skim abandoned me. The last week has been very difficult to walk. I already had a tough week getting my mom’s condo ready for sale, but doing so with feet that were on fire was another experience entirely. Lets just say I am glad there were some of her special painkillers that I could take to help me along. Mix those with coffee and woah, was I ever productive.

Also, congrats to me for posting at least one photo per day for the last 30 days. Wow, if I can do 30 then I think I can do 90, or 300. I guess I will find out, but for now I’m pretty happy with how Pixelbip has progressed. The next step is to get a dang sidebar on this WordPress theme. Even if I have to fake a sidebar, it’s going to happen. Hopefully by next week.

Growing up one of my biggest dreams was to explore the world. Honestly I never thought this would become reality. But at the end of 2014 I quit my job as a project manager to do just that. I sold most everything I own, packed up the remaining boxes in storage, and set out to see the world. My goals while traveling are to meet people everywhere I go, work on becoming a better photographer, and attempt to stay where the weather is not freezing. Along the way I am posting photos at Pixelbip.com and writing about my experiences at EarthToKeir.com
