Central Festival Trippy

Central Festival Trippy

Central Festival is a Mall located in Chiang Mai, Thailand. Its got some pretty cool design. Its very curvy and asymmetrical. I took that inspiration and ran with it for this image. It seemed fitting to add use the name Central Festival Trippy for the photo.

I have been to a few of the malls here in Chiang Mai, actually as I write this I am at the Maya mall, which is the closest one to me, but Central Festival is my favorite. It’s the largest mall, and it has a great selection of electronics, and cell phone stores. Almost a whole floor is dedicated to electronics and music too. I find myself going to Central Festival at least a couple times a week to find stuff that I need.

This is an HDR image created with Aurora HDR Pro. The liquefication of the image was done using the Liquify tool in Photoshop. If you have seen a few of the images I have done with this tool its probably becoming clear that I really like this tool. A lot.

I am furiously working on getting another video posted. I find that I have no problems with creating footage. The hard part is editing the footage down into something that’s coherent. My latest technique is to just put everything down in chronological order as much as I can and then as I watch the footage I just cut everything I don’t like. Then I go through everything again and shorten clips, and cut more out. Eventually I end up with something that starts making sense. But there is so much time required. I guess I just need to get better at editing in order to get faster at it.

Growing up one of my biggest dreams was to explore the world. Honestly I never thought this would become reality. But at the end of 2014 I quit my job as a project manager to do just that. I sold most everything I own, packed up the remaining boxes in storage, and set out to see the world. My goals while traveling are to meet people everywhere I go, work on becoming a better photographer, and attempt to stay where the weather is not freezing. Along the way I am posting photos at Pixelbip.com and writing about my experiences at EarthToKeir.com
