Cyrus Ballet Shoot

This photo was shot one year to the day ago. The dancer is Cyrus Bridwell. We spend an afternoon experimenting with very long exposures. On this image I triggered the flash manually while Cyrus moved across the frame. The image has been edited using only Lightroom.

I am running low on images to post on Pixelbip. The last couple of weeks have been fairly crappy weather here in Victoria, so I have not been out shooting. As well I am pretty busy with getting ready to travel. So for today’s image I started to scan my vast library for something interesting and this is what I came up with.

I’m hoping that starting Thursday I will have a bunch more new stuff to post. That is when I get on a plane to Chicago. My flight leaves shortly before sunset so I am hoping to be able to use that light while I am at the airport.

Also I am doing a test post along with this post today. I want to see how mailchimp formats the auto email when multiple posts are done in a single day.

Growing up one of my biggest dreams was to explore the world. Honestly I never thought this would become reality. But at the end of 2014 I quit my job as a project manager to do just that. I sold most everything I own, packed up the remaining boxes in storage, and set out to see the world. My goals while traveling are to meet people everywhere I go, work on becoming a better photographer, and attempt to stay where the weather is not freezing.
