False Creek Skyline

False Creek Skyline

Wow, it’s been forever since I posted any images. Well that’s going to change. I’ve been shooting like crazy here in Vancouver so prepare yourself for many, many more Vancouver shots. Also, I have joined several local Meetup.com groups with the intent of meeting lots of people, and giving me a reason to get out to places I would not normally go. This location was gleaned from a meetup.com suggestion though I did not actually join the meetup to shoot the False Creek Skyline.

This image is shot looking across False Creek towards the downtown area of Vancouver. Along the water is mostly residential buildings. I guess everyone wants a waterfront view if they can get it. This is a long exposure. I actually shot this as a series of bracketed shots with the intent of creating an HDR image, but I found that I was able to get what I wanted from editing a single image instead.

Growing up one of my biggest dreams was to explore the world. Honestly I never thought this would become reality. But at the end of 2014 I quit my job as a project manager to do just that. I sold most everything I own, packed up the remaining boxes in storage, and set out to see the world. My goals while traveling are to meet people everywhere I go, work on becoming a better photographer, and attempt to stay where the weather is not freezing. Along the way I am posting photos at Pixelbip.com and writing about my experiences at EarthToKeir.com
