Fire Starter

Fire Starter. This is the guy that lit the bonfire on the first night of Holi celebrations. One thing that I really like about India is I can get up close to almost anyone at any event and no one minds. The Indians all crowd around with their cameras so I don’t feel that I am doing anything improper. In the US and Canada we have been trained well to maintain our distance for fear of offending or taking away from the moment. In India the moment is inclusive of everyone with whatever they want to do and where they want to be.

Here is a photo of the bonfire after it was in full raging mode.

Holi Bonfire

Growing up one of my biggest dreams was to explore the world. Honestly I never thought this would become reality. But at the end of 2014 I quit my job as a project manager to do just that. I sold most everything I own, packed up the remaining boxes in storage, and set out to see the world. My goals while traveling are to meet people everywhere I go, work on becoming a better photographer, and attempt to stay where the weather is not freezing. Along the way I am posting photos at Pixelbip.com and writing about my experiences at EarthToKeir.com
