Hobbiton Waterwheel

First off sorry for the lack of photos for the last couple days. I have been staying at a place called Whakahoto, Blue Duck Station. Stunningly beautiful place with no internet access. Well actually it does have internet, but it costs $10 for 10mb. So for me that equals no internet.

The Hobbiton Waterwheel photo was taken about three days ago. Honestly it feels like I have already been on the Stray Bus for months and its only been 5 days so far. The Hobbiton visit was super awesome. They really did build an entire village to make the LOTR and Hobbit movies. Well the current Hobbiton was built for the Hobbit movies. The original LOTR set was allowed to deteriorate after the movies were shot. So cool to be able to walk around the actualy area where the movies were shot.

And at the end of the tour you get a free beer in the Hobbit pub. And it was really good beer too!

Growing up one of my biggest dreams was to explore the world. Honestly I never thought this would become reality. But at the end of 2014 I quit my job as a project manager to do just that. I sold most everything I own, packed up the remaining boxes in storage, and set out to see the world. My goals while traveling are to meet people everywhere I go, work on becoming a better photographer, and attempt to stay where the weather is not freezing. Along the way I am posting photos at Pixelbip.com and writing about my experiences at EarthToKeir.com
