Jet Plane Sunset

Today I am posting this image because in the next 5 weeks I well have completed 7 or 8 more flights, and will be chilling down in a warm New Zealand summer. I have had flying on my mind all day. At least I have had booking flying on my mind as I juggle many different aggregators and airline sites trying to get the best prices.

This image was shot in 2010 when I took my first trip to Japan. I went back and pulled the original bracketed photos and processed them in Photomatix Pro.  Adjustments were done to increase the saturation in the blues, and reduce the saturation in the yellows. Also Lightroom was used to reduce the noise. I find that Macphun Noisless Pro works great at choosing the correct level of noise reduction to work, but in this case I just stuck with the Lightroom adjustment as it’s pretty good too.

Growing up one of my biggest dreams was to explore the world. Honestly I never thought this would become reality. But at the end of 2014 I quit my job as a project manager to do just that. I sold most everything I own, packed up the remaining boxes in storage, and set out to see the world. My goals while traveling are to meet people everywhere I go, work on becoming a better photographer, and attempt to stay where the weather is not freezing. Along the way I am posting photos at Pixelbip.com and writing about my experiences at EarthToKeir.com
