Almost every day the tourist boats would tie up along the shore to unload and reload people and supplies. I say almost every day because the first few days I was on Otres beach I didn’t see any boats tie up. I arrived just as the peak season ended so the place was empty of tourists. Well empty is relative. There were still lots of people for me to meet and hang out with but the place was no where near what could be considered crowded. There are no docks for the boats to tie up so the boatmen, and tourists need to walk through the water to get to the boat.

This is not an HDR image. Though I did push the dynamic range manually in photoshop and lightroom to try and get a slight HDR effect. Most of the editing done to this image was through dodging and burning in Photoshop as well as using the graduated filters in Lightroom.

I was feeling a goofy when I edited the image so I created a much more inspired version. I also included #roadtripnick in the photo as he was feeling a bit lonely.

Growing up one of my biggest dreams was to explore the world. Honestly I never thought this would become reality. But at the end of 2014 I quit my job as a project manager to do just that. I sold most everything I own, packed up the remaining boxes in storage, and set out to see the world. My goals while traveling are to meet people everywhere I go, work on becoming a better photographer, and attempt to stay where the weather is not freezing. Along the way I am posting photos at Pixelbip.com and writing about my experiences at EarthToKeir.com
