London Eye at Night

London Eye at Night

I shot the London Eye during the daytime on several occasions but the perfect shot eluded me. Then walking along the Thames at night I figured a long exposure would be a cool and unique way to capture it. From the colour combination, all red with a greed section, you can tell the date was close to November 11th, Remembrance day. As the ferris wheel turned the green spot would stay in the exact same location.

Directly after taking this shot an employee informed me that tripods were not allowed on the property. Some reason about the media uses tripods and they didn’t want any media present unless they paid for the privilege of filming in that location. Obviously i’m a tourist, but of course that didn’t matter.

I’m really looking forward to getting back to the UK, hopefully the spring or summertime of 2018. So many friends to visit. The really great thing about travel is the amount of friends you make along the way. And the hardest part is always having to say goodbye to them eventually. Fortunately travel is so easy these days that it’s only a few hundred dollars and a 8 hour flight to see them again

Growing up one of my biggest dreams was to explore the world. Honestly I never thought this would become reality. But at the end of 2014 I quit my job as a project manager to do just that. I sold most everything I own, packed up the remaining boxes in storage, and set out to see the world. My goals while traveling are to meet people everywhere I go, work on becoming a better photographer, and attempt to stay where the weather is not freezing. Along the way I am posting photos at Pixelbip.com and writing about my experiences at EarthToKeir.com
