Midnight Ponder

Midnight Ponder. This image was shot just minutes before midnight so I felt the title was appropriate. There are many times I have walked over to the shore at night and just watched the waves come in. Though I have never thought to grab an actual chair, and I don’t own an umbrella so…

This was shot on the Sony using a 35mm lens at f/2.8. The exposure is 25 seconds long. I was very surprised at the sharpness of the image considering the length of exposure. This person must have been extremely still for a very long time.

Originally I did the edit in Lightroom and Photoshop to enhance the image. Then I also used using both Noiseless, and Focus CK from Macphun to clean up the noise and also enhance the subject slightly.

Growing up one of my biggest dreams was to explore the world. Honestly I never thought this would become reality. But at the end of 2014 I quit my job as a project manager to do just that. I sold most everything I own, packed up the remaining boxes in storage, and set out to see the world. My goals while traveling are to meet people everywhere I go, work on becoming a better photographer, and attempt to stay where the weather is not freezing. Along the way I am posting photos at Pixelbip.com and writing about my experiences at EarthToKeir.com
