Milford Sound Waterfalls

This shot from Milford Sound makes the mountain look a whole lot shorter than it is in real live. This is shot with a 14mm lens from up close so things are a bit distorted. Still I thought I would post it. While the day trip to Milford Sound was grueling with a 10 hour bus ride, the actual boat trip was beautiful. I got to meet some cool kids from Thailand and I watched them get a shower in one of the waterfalls as the boat parked beneath it.

Unfortunately I didn’t get so see any dolphins on this trip, but I did get to see some grumpy looking penguins, and some very sleepy seals.

Again this is a lower rez image as I am still going through the process of getting my data recovered from my storage drive. Stupid mistake on my part that is looking to cost quite a bit, and has distracted my attention from doing several other things that I want to get done. Lesson learned. Though I should already have learned this lesson long ago.

I can’t remember if this image is HDR or not. Its been awhile since I processed it and with my data loss I cant really looking into how I created it.

Growing up one of my biggest dreams was to explore the world. Honestly I never thought this would become reality. But at the end of 2014 I quit my job as a project manager to do just that. I sold most everything I own, packed up the remaining boxes in storage, and set out to see the world. My goals while traveling are to meet people everywhere I go, work on becoming a better photographer, and attempt to stay where the weather is not freezing. Along the way I am posting photos at Pixelbip.com and writing about my experiences at EarthToKeir.com
