Mount Doom Waterfall

Keeping on the theme of waterfalls lately. This one is on the way to Mount Doom. I’m surprised Frodo and Sam couldn’t find it 😉  It was only about a 45 minute hike to get to the falls. I did this hike when everyone else did the Tongariro Alpine Crossing. That hike is closer to 8 hours, and I honestly had no desire to walk that far.

New Zealand is awesome! Im currently in Westport which really does not have much in it, but it is half way to Franz Josef Glacier. If the weather is good I am hoping to do a 30 minute helicopter ride and get some awesome aerial photos.

Growing up one of my biggest dreams was to explore the world. Honestly I never thought this would become reality. But at the end of 2014 I quit my job as a project manager to do just that. I sold most everything I own, packed up the remaining boxes in storage, and set out to see the world. My goals while traveling are to meet people everywhere I go, work on becoming a better photographer, and attempt to stay where the weather is not freezing. Along the way I am posting photos at Pixelbip.com and writing about my experiences at EarthToKeir.com
