Oh Crap, I have lost my stored photos

Tragedy has struck.

The hard drive I was using to store all my travel photos and data for the last year has had a problem. As of right now all my photos and videos are no longer available on the drive. I am looking into a recovery service, but these can be very expensive. Add to that the cost of shipping to and from India and the things really adds up. I am waiting for quotes from several data recovery services to see what the final damage will be. Once I know I will be doing a GoFundMe campaign to ask for help in recovering this data. I’ll keep everyone up to date on this blog as well as my other social media sites.

In the meantime I am still able to post some of the photos I have already edited as well as the new images I continue to create. Unfortunately the previously edited photos are just the previews and the file size is much smaller and the quality a bit lower. Once I get the data recovered I will update all these lower quality images with the full images.

Thanks everyone for your support and keep an eye out for my GoFundMe campaign. I’ll be asking everyone to help by contributing, spreading the word or both.

Growing up one of my biggest dreams was to explore the world. Honestly I never thought this would become reality. But at the end of 2014 I quit my job as a project manager to do just that. I sold most everything I own, packed up the remaining boxes in storage, and set out to see the world. My goals while traveling are to meet people everywhere I go, work on becoming a better photographer, and attempt to stay where the weather is not freezing. Along the way I am posting photos at Pixelbip.com and writing about my experiences at EarthToKeir.com
