Prasat Bayan at Angkor Wat

Prasat Bayan at Angkor Wat. Care for a little Tomb Raider? Over the next few days I will be exploring Angkor Wat, where Tomb Raider and other films have been shot. I’m so glad to be here in low season. There are still so many tourists around. Just not as many as in peak season. I was up early for the sunrise this morning. and it was kind of funny to see the crowd of people lining up along the lakes in order to get a good sunrise reflection photo. I opted to do a time lapse instead.

This image is an HDR shot on my Sony and combined in Aurora HDR Pro. A little bit of dodging and burning done in Photoshop, and final tweaks done in lightroom.

Another thing I did while exploring today is to record a bunch of video footage for a vlog post at earthtokeir Youtube Channel. I still feel I am way too grumpy when I talk to the camera. Practice makes perfect though, and that goes for using the video editing software. It’s not like anyone is going to watch it anyway.

Growing up one of my biggest dreams was to explore the world. Honestly I never thought this would become reality. But at the end of 2014 I quit my job as a project manager to do just that. I sold most everything I own, packed up the remaining boxes in storage, and set out to see the world. My goals while traveling are to meet people everywhere I go, work on becoming a better photographer, and attempt to stay where the weather is not freezing. Along the way I am posting photos at Pixelbip.com and writing about my experiences at EarthToKeir.com
