Chicago Fringe Festival Annual Report – 2014 – In 2014 I got to hang out with the craziest bunch of people and take photos of them the whole time. The adventure started with the Fringe Lottery Party, and ended with 3 days of shows and parties at the actual event. I had so much fun with this project and would jump at the chance to do it again.
Society for the Preservation and Advancement of the Harmonica – I shot the image of Ronnie Shellist at a Bluetopia event a couple years ago. Ronnie’s publicist put a call out on Facebook for images so I submitted one. I never knew it was going to be in print though. I was told it was just for online useage. Didn’t really bother me Ronnie is a good egg, and I just gave them the photo anyway.
UNA publication, July 2017 – For this project I flew to Iceland and lived in a house with 10 other volunteers from around the world. Together we documented the 16 years of the Worldwide Friends volunteer organization based here in Iceland. Everyone contributed to the writing and photographs in the issue. I focused my energy on doing interviews with current volunteers as well as layout for the publication. I spent several days immersed using Adobe InDesign for this project. This was my first time working on a project like this and I found the challenge exciting and rewarding.
