Riverboat at Champasak, Laos

I was waiting on the shore for a boat to take me across the river. This one slowly approached the “dock” and ended up being my boat. Not much else I can say about the Mekong, or the riverboats that ply the waters all day and night. I do recommend everyone to take a trip themselves, find a secluded place along the shore and just spend an afternoon watching the boats. Very relaxing and you see a way of life that is timeless.

Nothing special has been done to this photo. Remarkably I did almost no editing, just some minor adjustments in Lightroom. Go figure… I must be getting lazy. Image taken with my Fujifilm X100T. And thinking of that just makes me think even more about the X Pro2 which I am planning on buying when I get back to the US. Well that or the X-T2, Kind of lusting after both those cameras right now…


Instead of working on images lately I have been working on video, and time lapse capture. Having lots of fun and grief with each of those things. I should have a couple more videos posted on Youtube, but this time tomorrow though so at least i’m being productive.

Growing up one of my biggest dreams was to explore the world. Honestly I never thought this would become reality. But at the end of 2014 I quit my job as a project manager to do just that. I sold most everything I own, packed up the remaining boxes in storage, and set out to see the world. My goals while traveling are to meet people everywhere I go, work on becoming a better photographer, and attempt to stay where the weather is not freezing.
