Streets of Vadodara Part 1

While out shopping for sandals and pants last night I stood on the side of the road and shot for about 5 minutes. It’s impossible to not get some kind of photo in India. I feel like everything is just waiting to be photographed. I will likely be doing a series of Streets of Vadodara as there is just so much to shoot, and so many people willing to have their photos taken.

Processed i Lightroom, Photoshop, and Macphun’s Tonality CK. Image was shot on my Fujifilm X100T (Amazon) which is an amazing camera to have in india. I have been using my Sony A7Rii for the last month and not giving the Fuji much attention at all. I almost didn’t take the camera with me to India. I’m so glad I did though. The 35mm (equivalent) lens is perfect for creating images here. And after using the 10-18mm on the Sony for the last couple months the 35mm feels like a telephoto to me.

Growing up one of my biggest dreams was to explore the world. Honestly I never thought this would become reality. But at the end of 2014 I quit my job as a project manager to do just that. I sold most everything I own, packed up the remaining boxes in storage, and set out to see the world. My goals while traveling are to meet people everywhere I go, work on becoming a better photographer, and attempt to stay where the weather is not freezing. Along the way I am posting photos at Pixelbip.com and writing about my experiences at EarthToKeir.com
