Sunset near McNeill Bay

Sunset near McNeill Bay

I’m really liking the yellows in this image. This was shot slightly after I shot the Blue Chair and Red photo a couple of weeks ago. I wanted to give a bit of reference as to where the chairs are positioned. Considering how brightly they are painted they are not so visible in this image. However they are located near the right side of the little peninsula that sticks out into the water.

Processing for this image was done using Photomatix Pro, and a little bit of clean up using Lightroom. I had the tripod set very low so that I could get as much of the foreground into the image for reference.

Sadly this may be one of the last landscape sunset images that I will be shooting this year. The weather is turning colder and the nerve issue I have is starting to become more of an issue when I get cold. So I tend to keep myself as warm as I can these days. However it we do get another warm day (oddly we had so many of them this summer) I will get back out and try to get another sunset from perhaps a different location.

Growing up one of my biggest dreams was to explore the world. Honestly I never thought this would become reality. But at the end of 2014 I quit my job as a project manager to do just that. I sold most everything I own, packed up the remaining boxes in storage, and set out to see the world. My goals while traveling are to meet people everywhere I go, work on becoming a better photographer, and attempt to stay where the weather is not freezing. Along the way I am posting photos at Pixelbip.com and writing about my experiences at EarthToKeir.com
