Temple Steps

Temple Steps. I found this on the steps to the Doi Suthep Temple in Chiang Mai. I noticed several of them. I’m not sure if they fall there or if they are dropped there on purpose. There are little kids dressed in cute costumes working the steps for money. I didn’t take their photo as then they would have wanted my money.

This was actually taken on my way back down the steps. The sun was setting and the light was much warmer than when I walked up the steps. I didn’t actually spend a whole lot of time editing this image as I never thought I was going to use it. Thats one of the strange things I have found with the photos I take on this trip. Many times when I first look at an image or even work on it for a while I think that it not very good and so I move on to the next. Then maybe a week or month later I go back and look at older images and I find that I actually do like them a whole lot more than I thought I would.

Anyway, I have no idea what kind of flower this is, nor why they are on the steps. If you can answer either of those questions please let me know!

Growing up one of my biggest dreams was to explore the world. Honestly I never thought this would become reality. But at the end of 2014 I quit my job as a project manager to do just that. I sold most everything I own, packed up the remaining boxes in storage, and set out to see the world. My goals while traveling are to meet people everywhere I go, work on becoming a better photographer, and attempt to stay where the weather is not freezing. Along the way I am posting photos at Pixelbip.com and writing about my experiences at EarthToKeir.com
