Temple Trees

These are just outside one of the temples I visited a few days ago. After taking this shot we all walked down to the river and went for a short ride in one of the traditional round boats they use here.

The posts in the background were once a bridge to cross the river. After the water table changed in Hampi and the infrastructure fell apart the bridge was no longer needed.

It’s not noticeable in this photo but this was one of the hottest days I spent in Hampi. Well today may be a bit hotter.

Travel update

Im on a bus to Bangalore tonight at 9:30. Its a sleeper bus but this time i’m not too worried about it. After sleeping on my lumpy mattress on the roof I will be fine with being tossed around for 8 hours in a bus. I should be in Bangalore just long enough to take some images then I will be on a train to Rajasthan. Woohoo! really looking forward to some cooler temperatures and some super amazing sites, and things to buy that are not overpriced tourist crap.

I plan to be in Rajasthan for the rest of my time in India. That is about another month before I head off to Thailand.

Growing up one of my biggest dreams was to explore the world. Honestly I never thought this would become reality. But at the end of 2014 I quit my job as a project manager to do just that. I sold most everything I own, packed up the remaining boxes in storage, and set out to see the world. My goals while traveling are to meet people everywhere I go, work on becoming a better photographer, and attempt to stay where the weather is not freezing. Along the way I am posting photos at Pixelbip.com and writing about my experiences at EarthToKeir.com
