Wales Millennium Center

Wales Millennium Center

Heading down to the docks area in Cardiff there is one building that stands out in a striking way. The Wales Millennium Center sits on the waterfront surrounded by an area that is going through revitalization. It’s surrounded by art pieces, public spaces, and a variety of restaurants.

Since I started to walk around Cardiff I have encountered constant rainy, drizzly, misty, and overcast skies. Fortunately my camera is weather sealed. Actually since I bought this camera it’s been used more in the rain than in dry conditions thanks to the wonderful fall weather in the UK. But the great thing about constant moisture in the air is that the ground stays reflective, and this is great for photography.

I rode the first bus I could to the docks area and wandered around for several hours photographing, and eating pizza. The plan is to go down again today while there is still some sunlight, but the rain is coming down pretty hard so I think I may put this off till tomorrow

Growing up one of my biggest dreams was to explore the world. Honestly I never thought this would become reality. But at the end of 2014 I quit my job as a project manager to do just that. I sold most everything I own, packed up the remaining boxes in storage, and set out to see the world. My goals while traveling are to meet people everywhere I go, work on becoming a better photographer, and attempt to stay where the weather is not freezing. Along the way I am posting photos at Pixelbip.com and writing about my experiences at EarthToKeir.com
