Wat Phra Singh

Wat Phra Singh is one of the many amazing temples in Chiang Mai. It was originally built in 1345 and has been through years of disrepair and restoration ever since. It kind of gives a new meaning to “old buildings”.

I made this image using Aurora HDR Pro. Massive amount of lens correction was done in Photoshop to make everything look square and symmetrical. Final touchups were done in Lightroom. And I even tweaked it a bit in Macphun’s Focus CK, though I didn’t apply very much focus blur, I did use it to brighten and sharpen the center of the image. One of the super fun thing about editing images is all the different software available, and all the different and creative ways to use that software. I generally don’t have a single workflow that I use for all my images. I constantly switch applications to get the effect and look that I am going for.

Growing up one of my biggest dreams was to explore the world. Honestly I never thought this would become reality. But at the end of 2014 I quit my job as a project manager to do just that. I sold most everything I own, packed up the remaining boxes in storage, and set out to see the world. My goals while traveling are to meet people everywhere I go, work on becoming a better photographer, and attempt to stay where the weather is not freezing. Along the way I am posting photos at Pixelbip.com and writing about my experiences at EarthToKeir.com
