This is the plane that will take me to the other side of the world and let me skip one day into the future. Image was taken at the Vancouver International Airport just as the sun was setting. I have spent a lot of time at airports in the last two weeks and have been looking for a just like this. One where I could see the entire plane, and the sun was just setting. The clouds in this image are just a bonus. And while it looks like snow on the ground it’s not. This is just the effect that the HDR conversion made to the pavement.
Image was processed using Aurora HDR Pro, Lightroom, and Photoshop.
Even though I have already been traveling for two weeks I feel this is truly the first image in my round the world trip. I guess because I am just so used to being in Canada and the US I consider that a warm up to the actual round the world trip yet separate from it.
Growing up one of my biggest dreams was to explore the world. Honestly I never thought this would become reality. But at the end of 2014 I quit my job as a project manager to do just that. I sold most everything I own, packed up the remaining boxes in storage, and set out to see the world. My goals while traveling are to meet people everywhere I go, work on becoming a better photographer, and attempt to stay where the weather is not freezing. Along the way I am posting photos at Pixelbip.com and writing about my experiences at EarthToKeir.com
