Beach Paradise – HDR, ISO 10,000, 28mm, f/4.5, 1/40th sec, Canon 5DM3, Handheld
Last minute posting for today. I am up way late tonight writing a blog post about some new software I have been playing with. Macphun’s Aurora HDR Pro. Click the banner below to get more details. The special promo date may have passed but you can still download a 30 day free trial.
Today’s photo was shot in Tamarindo, Costa Rica at the Witch’s Rock Surf Camp. This is actually a restaurant. And its outside. And it’s part of the surf school. Crazy, I know! You should go down to Costa Rica and take surfing classes at this place. Use my name when you book and get $50 off per person! What a freakin’ great deal!
The image was made by combining three images with Photomatix Pro. Lightroom was used for final clean up of the image. I was pretty happy to get such a clean shot considering the slowest shutter speed in the trio of images was only 1/20th of a second. The picture was shot just as the sun dropped below the horizon. Though this is an HDR image this is exactly what the light looks like on the beach. It really is a pardise.
Growing up one of my biggest dreams was to explore the world. Honestly I never thought this would become reality. But at the end of 2014 I quit my job as a project manager to do just that. I sold most everything I own, packed up the remaining boxes in storage, and set out to see the world. My goals while traveling are to meet people everywhere I go, work on becoming a better photographer, and attempt to stay where the weather is not freezing. Along the way I am posting photos at Pixelbip.com and writing about my experiences at EarthToKeir.com
