Downtown Auckland – HDR, ISO 200, 15mm, f/5.6, 5 seconds, Sony A7Rii, Handheld
Yes this is a handheld shot! Well I have the camera pressed against the glass of the Sky Tower in downtown Auckland. the middle exposure was 5 seconds which means the longest exposure was 20 seconds. Even with the glass I was impressed I was able to hold the camera still for that long.
I spent a couple hours at the top of the tower. Walking around and taking way too many photos. I know people were looking at me funny as I pressed the camera against the glass to shoot. But then none of their photos will come out nearly as sharp as this one.
Edited in Aurora, HDR Pro, Lightroom, and Photoshop.
Growing up one of my biggest dreams was to explore the world. Honestly I never thought this would become reality. But at the end of 2014 I quit my job as a project manager to do just that. I sold most everything I own, packed up the remaining boxes in storage, and set out to see the world. My goals while traveling are to meet people everywhere I go, work on becoming a better photographer, and attempt to stay where the weather is not freezing. Along the way I am posting photos at Pixelbip.com and writing about my experiences at EarthToKeir.com
