Bilbo left his door open but the sign is pretty clear. So I guess I’ll just take the photo and move on.
Another shot from Hobbiton. If you get a chance to get to New Zealand you need to do this tour. No, its not inexpensive, but the cool feeling you get from being able to walk around on the actual movie set is just awesome. The attention to detail is just amazing.
I really got the feeling that at any time a Hobbit would come out of one of the Hobbit holes and take me down to the Green Dragon for a pint and Second Breakfast.
DHR processed with Aurora HDR Pro. Lightroom and Photoshop were also used to edit the image.
This was shot close to the start of the Stray bus trip. Today is my last day on the bus and I am returning to Auckland for a couple days before heading out to India. I get to spend a 12 hour layover in Bangkok airport before heading to Mumbai, then to Vadodara. Looking forward to getting there but not looking forward to the 30 hours of travel time.
Growing up one of my biggest dreams was to explore the world. Honestly I never thought this would become reality. But at the end of 2014 I quit my job as a project manager to do just that. I sold most everything I own, packed up the remaining boxes in storage, and set out to see the world. My goals while traveling are to meet people everywhere I go, work on becoming a better photographer, and attempt to stay where the weather is not freezing. Along the way I am posting photos at Pixelbip.com and writing about my experiences at EarthToKeir.com
