Sushi in Costa Rica
Walk through this little tunnel and you are taken to a fancy sushi restaurant in Tamarindo, Costa Rica. This was shot on my Canon 5DM3 with a 16mm lens. Three exposures at +-2. There was also a guy sitting at the bar but I photoshopped him out. Actually did a fairly poor job of it but i’m tired. Photomatix Pro was used to create the HDR, then lightroom for final edits.
This will be the start of less and less photos posted that were taken on the Canon. I actually have it up for sale right now. Not because I don’t like it. Actually I had a really tough time putting it up for sale. However I have purchased a new camera for travel purposes. I bought a Sony A7R11. The new camera is about half the weight and size which is important as I will be traveling with only carry-on luggage. I have to say that so far I am not liking the menu system on the Sony, nor the software used to update the firmware or instal any of their “Apps”. Sony instructions are fairly hard to follow, and their web site is complete shit. I guess they expect me to buy a gaming system, because the web site keeps pushing me towards that. Strange as this camera cost 10x what their gaming system costs.
Anyway. Im sure Ill get through setting up the camera the way I like and soon you will start seeing more and more photos taken on a Sony…
Growing up one of my biggest dreams was to explore the world. Honestly I never thought this would become reality. But at the end of 2014 I quit my job as a project manager to do just that. I sold most everything I own, packed up the remaining boxes in storage, and set out to see the world. My goals while traveling are to meet people everywhere I go, work on becoming a better photographer, and attempt to stay where the weather is not freezing. Along the way I am posting photos at Pixelbip.com and writing about my experiences at EarthToKeir.com
